Mumbai: Actor Nawazuddin Siddiqui said that that his Bajrangi Bhaijaan co-star Salman Khan didn't have any wrong intentions behind his controversial "raped woman" comment.

When asked about it at a screening of his film Raman Raghav 2.0, Nawazuddin said, "He (Salman) used the comment metaphorically. The discussions over it are over and there is no point in repeating it and asking questions about it."

Earlier this week, Salman in an interview compared himself with a "raped woman" while talking about his exhausting shoot for Sultan after practicing and filming fight sequences with wrestlers. He retracted from the analogy and said: "I don't think I should have."

Nawazuddin, though, inadvertently said that Salman has already "removed the tweet" and then added, "The intention has to be considered."

Meanwhile, actress Kangana Ranaut has termed Salman's comments as "horrible" and "extremely insensitive" and advised people to avoid trolling and running one person down.

Salman is yet to clarify but his father writer Salim Khan apologised on Twitter on behalf of their whole family.
