Sanjay Dutt sentence: Home ministry seeks Maharashtra govt's opinion on reducing jail term

Mr Dutt was last week granted a 14-day extension of his leave from jail. He had left the Yerawada prison on October 1 after being sanctioned leave on medical grounds.

He had earlier been acquitted of the more serious charges of terrorism and conspiracy.
