It is perhaps the first time in the history of Sanjay Dutt’s acting career that the actor shot for six scenes in a day!
Sanjay Dutt, who is presently shooting in Hyderabad for the Hindi remake of Tamil film saamy, appears to be a changed man on the sets. In Bollywood, Mr Dutt is known to be arrive late on the sets and shooting according to his whims due to his star status.
With him on the sets, these things are taken for granted and no one complains. But after shooting with south director K S Ravikumar, who makes his Bollywood debut with the project, Mr Dutt seems to be imbibing the South style of working.
It is perhaps the first time in the history of Sanjay Dutt's acting career that the actor shot for six scenes in a day!
According to a unit source, "Sanjay Dutt himself has been saying aloud that he can't remember when or which director in his life had made him shoot like this. Even the makers can't believe that this is the same actor with whom directors had trouble finishing two scenes with him in the past."
The source further added: "He not only comes on time but stays till the director is totally happy with his work. He has been further heard saying that he now understands how South stars like Rajinikanth and Kamal Haasan work as Ravikumar has directed both of them in his films."
Producer Rahul Aggarwal said: "People may have a particular opinion about Sanjay Dutt but that's not true with this project. The director is extremely happy with his work."
Sanjay Dutt has been paired opposite Prachi Desai in the film. The Tamil version Saamy, which released in 2003 had Vikram and Trisha.
