Shah Rukh Khan and Hrithik Roshan's hit movies will be screened at the Marrakech International Film Festival
The 12th Marrakech International
Film Festival (MIFF) in Morocco will pay tribute to the 100
glorious years of Indian cinema this year and screen films
such as Jab Tak Hai Jaan and Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara.
A Bollywood delegation, led by Amitabh Bachchan, will
be
honoured on December 1 at a ceremony there after the event
kicks off on November 30.
"It's a great tribute for the Indian film fraternity
to
be honoured at an international platform such as this. The
fest also has a special emotional connect with me because my
films such as Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham have a vast audience
in Morocco," filmmaker Karan Johar, who would be present
there, said in a statement here.
The who's who of the Indian film industry will be
landing
at Marrakech, Morocco's capital and the third largest city
there this month end.
Several Bollywood celebrities from Shah Rukh Khan and
the
Bachchans to Hrithik Roshan and Sridevi will be heading for
the fest to be held from November 30-December 8.
Shah Rukh's Jab Tak Hai Jaan, Kabhi Khushi Kabhie
Gham, Don 2 and Veer Zaara (2004) and Hrithik's
Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara, Jodhaa Akbar, Agneepath and
others are slated to be screened at the event.
Bollywood star couple Amitabh and Jaya Bachchan will
attend the screening of Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham along with
director Karan Johar.
The filmmaker will be joined by the cast of his
recently
released film Student of The Year -- Siddharth Malhotra,
Varun Dhawan, Alia Bhatt and Rishi Kapoor.
Also, Sridevi, who made a successful comeback with
English Vinglish, will be present along with her husband
Boney Kapoor, director Gauri Shinde and her husband R Balki.
Other celebrities expected at the festival include
Zoya
Akhtar, Anurag Kashyap, Ashutosh Gowariker, Anurag Basu, Arjun
Rampal, Priyanka Chopra, Kalki Koechlin and Ileana D'Cruz.
