Birthday boy Shah Rukh Khan has already received the best gift the box office has to offer in the form of his new film Happy New Year's blockbuster collections. SRK, who turned 49 on November 2, had a king-sized birthday party of sorts with thousands of fans showing up at his Mumbai home Mannat to wish him.

Shah Rukh Khan plays a bank robber posing as a competitor in a dance championship in New Year, directed by Farah Khan and co-starring Deepika Padukone and Abhishek Bachchan. The film smashed the record for the biggest opening day earnings and has also broken SRK's personal record of biggest first week collections, beating last year's Chennai Express.
