New Delhi: Actor Shah Rukh Khan is 'proud' to have been mentioned in US President Barack Obama's speech in New Delhi on January 27, and has promised to do the Chaiyya Chaiyya dance with POTUS 'next time.'

SRK tweeted:

POTUS addresses a townhall-style meeting in New Delhi's Siri Fort Auditorium on the final day of his three-day visit to India. He began his speech by mentioning last year's Diwali celebration in the White House where they did the bhangra.

He then borrowed one of SRK's best-known dialogues from Dilwale Dulhania Le Jayenge: "Bade bade deshon mein, or something like that. You know what I mean."

Later in his speech, President Obama said, "India will succeed so long as it isn't splintered along the lines of religion, any lines. So long as all Indian go to the movies and applaud an actor like Shah Rukh Khan or an athlete like Milkha Singh."

POTUS also regretted that they "were not able to schedule any dancing in this visit." SRK's offer of a lesson in Chaiyya Chaiyya might prove reason enough to bring him back to India a third time. Barack Obama is the only POTUS to have visited India twice. He was here last in 2010.

Meanwhile, the SRK references drove Twitter mad with delight. DDLJ, 'SRK Pride of India' and 'Barack Obama Respects SRK' have been trending all day.
