Mumbai: Actor Shah Rukh Khan said that the Indian film industry is a colourful example of the 'Make in India' initiative.

"When we talk about 'Make in India', we talk about the kind of stuff we do in the country. Somewhere, perhaps selfishly. I do feel that the Indian film industry does stand for something specific and very beautiful as Make in India," said Shah Rukh.

Shah Rukh said that the film industry takes our culture forward in its own way.

"It does take us across borders, tells people about our culture, talks about our music and somewhere down the line, it also explains what India stands for, in its own, sometimes mad, sometimes colourful and sometimes in a little over the top way," added Shah Rukh.

"We all have been struggling for years to think of the film industry as organised and visionary. Through our Punjabi, Hindi, Bengali and other films, we hope that someday we will be able to crack the code in terms of international viewership," said Shah Rukh.(Also Read: Shah Rukh Khan is an Icon, #IStandWithSRK, Tweets Film Fraternity)
