Shahid Kapoor's Udta Punjab is a Hit With Celebs. What Bollywood Says

New Delhi: Shahid Kapoor's much awaited film Udta Punjab has released today and the film industry absolutely loves it. Several celebrities, including actors Dia Mirza, Aditi Rao Hydari, Preity Zinta, Arshad Warsi and filmmakers Gauri Shinde and Mahesh Bhatt, tweeted praise of the film.

Udta Punjab has released with a single court-ordered cut, after the producers appealed against some 89-odd edits demanded by the Censor Board, including the deleting of all references to Punjab.

Two days ago, a leaked copy of the film found its way online and today and actors, including Aamir Khan, Priyanka Chopra, Karan Johar and the film's stars Shahid Kapoor and Alia Bhatt asked fans to watch it in theatres.

Abhishek Chaubey's Udta Punjab stars Shahid as a drug addicted rockstar and Alia as a Bihari migrant. The movie deals with the issue of drug abuse in Punjab and features Kareena Kapoor as a doctor and Diljit Dosanjh as a cop.
