Mumbai: The makers of Farzi are reportedly looking for the lead in the upcoming film after actor Shahid Kapoor cited date issues. The 34-year-old actor was supposed to star in director duo Raj Nidimoru and Krishna DK's upcoming film.

"We are rescheduling dates for Farzi. We are figuring out things. We are working out the dates for this film of Shahid. But things look tough as he has back-to-back films - Shandaar and Udta Punjab. So he will be busy promoting them as well," sources said.

"It is premature to say anything right now. May be in a week or so things will be clear," the sources added.

2 States star Arjun Kapoor might replace Shahid in Farzi. "We are thinking of other actors. We are considering Arjun. But nothing is finalised yet," the sources said.

Farzi was expected to go on floors in December last year but that did not happen. Then Shahid began shooting for Shaandar in London and returned to India in February to start filming Abhishek Chaubey's Udta Punjab.

Farzi will be shot primarily in Mumbai.
