Shatrughan Sinha: I Need to Stay Fit for Long Struggle Ahead

Veteran actor Shatrughan Sinha was recently admitted to a hospital for a routine check-up.

  • His wife Poonam Sinha said "It was just exhaustion" and added: "Shatruji returned to Mumbai on Saturday morning after a gruelling month of electioneering. I had accompanied him all through the election campaign in Patna."

  • She said that when they landed here, she took him straight from the airport to the hospital for his bi-annual checkup.

  • "Though everything on his health-front was declared fine, Shatruji stayed back in the hospital for a day just to rest out," she said.

  • Poonam, known to serve sumptuous meals at home, has stopped the flow of food.

  • "We all have diet food because of Shatruji's health. Even guests have to eat the same health-conscious food," she said.
