Mumbai: Bollywood actor Shreyas Talpade, who shot to fame with his debut in Nagesh Kukunoor's Iqbal, says though solo hits are essential, its absence does not affect him.

"An actor definitely needs few solo hits in his career. I am not bogged down to give a solo hit ," Shreyas told PTI.

However, except for Iqbal and Welcome to Sajjanpur Shreyas hasn't had a solo hit. Most of his movies have been multistarrers including Om Shanti Om, Golmaal series, and Apna Sapna Money Money

"I am not bothered when I share screen with established stars like Shahrukh Khan, Ajay Devgn and others. I believe it is more important to be a part of good product where you also get recognized and appreciated as much as the main actor or the hero," Shreyas said.

But the 34-year-old actor is pinning hope on his up- coming solo hero film Chemistry, where he will be seen alongside Soha Ali Khan and Tanisha Mukerjee.

"With Chemistry I might be able to deliver a solo hit. I know where I stand. It is a matter of time and I am sure I will one day reach where I want to," Shreyas said.
