The indulgent mentor Salman Khan accompanied his two charges, actors Athiya Shetty and Sooraj Pancholi to New Delhi.
Muscleman Khan admitted that many of his friends in the industry had asked him to launch their kids. For the uninformed, Salman was to launch Govinda's daughter Narmmadaa, however, he chose to launch Sooraj and Athiya instead as he felt they were talented and had been through the drill. His failure to launch Narmmadaa did lead to cold vibes between him and his
Partner co-star Govinda.
Meanwhile, the actor has left no stone unturned in promoting the two debutantes and has been a rather protective godfather to them.
Athiya and Sooraj themselves admitted that had it not been for Salman, they would still be struggling. Athiya, the more articulate of the two, said she was nervous about her film and felt she had no edge over the many newcomers who had entered the film industry.
While admitting that people told her that she resembled Sonam Kapoor ,the budding actress said there was' only one Sonam' and that she admired her sense of style .
