New Delhi: As every year, Bollywood celebrated Diwali on Sunday at the Bachchans' party, whose grand annual do has become the highlight of the celebrity calendar. This year, it was an event of the starriest sort, with Aishwarya and Abhishek Bachchan greeting their celeb guests dressed in Abu Jani-Sandeep Khosla. Amitabh Bachchan was spotted being driven to the party.
 


The A-list invitees comprised of colleagues and old friends of the family. Among them was Shah Rukh Khan, who has co-starred with every Bachchan in films like Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham, Mohabbatein, Devdas and Kabhi Alvida Naa Kehna. We only caught a fleeting glimpse of SRK, who missed his annual box office date with Diwali this year.
 


The film fraternity's top female stars arrived looking uber-glam - Katrina Kaif looking like a million bucks in a saree, Sonam Kapoor in Anamika Khanna, Sonakshi Sinha in a chic Arpita Mehta lehenga.
 


Malaika Arora Khan glittered in a Tarun Tahiliani outfit. Aditi Rao Hydari's scarlet Sanjay Garg lehenga injected a dose of colour into the festivities. Jacqueline Fernandez and Shraddha Kapoor both looked lovely in pink.
 

Bipasha Basu, lovely in Sabyasachi, and Karan Singh Grover were celebrating their first Diwali after getting married. They weren't the only loved up couple at the soiree - Dia Mirza, in Anita Dongre, was pictured with husband Sahil Sangha; Vidya Balan and Siddharth Roy Kapur looked like a dream, as did TV stars Kanchi Kaul and Shabbir Ahluwalia, and Bachchan niece Naina with her husband Kunal Kapoor.
 

Parineeti Chopra picked white, in sharp contrast to Taapsee Pannu's striking Priyal Prakash ensemble. Konkona Sen Sharma arrived in a monochrome lehenga. Richa Chadha and Diana Penty both wore Payal Singhal lehengas.
 


Flashbulbs popped when Sanjay Dutt arrived with wife Maanyata and posed with Aishwarya and Abhishek.
 


Sachin Tendulkar's arrival, complete with wife Anjali and son Arjun, also sent cameras into a frenzy.
 

Amrita Singh brought daughter Sara and son Ibrahim with her. Actress Shefali Shah and husband Vipul Shah also came with their children.
 

There were plenty of Amitabh Bachchan's old friends and collaborators on the guest list - Rishi and Neetu Kapoor, Shatrughan Sinha, Jeetendra, Anil Kapoor, Javed Akhtar and Shabana Azmi, Jackie Shroff, the Roshans.
 


The Sholay days were represented by director Ramesh Sippy and wife Kiran Juneja, and actor Sachin with his wife Supriya Pilgaonkar.
 

Celebrity gentlemen showed up in their festive best - Ranbir Kapoor, Sidharth Malhotra, Arjun Kapoor, Farhan Akhtar, Jimmy Sheirgill.
 

The director's cut was rather special, with everyone from Karan Johar who escorted his mother Hiroo, Ayan Mukerji, Kabir Khan, R Balki and Kunal Kohli to David Dhawan, Prakash Jha, Sudhir Mishra, Vikas Bahl and Aanand L Rai.
