Mumbai: Actor Sushant Singh, who played the antagonist in Hate Story 2, said that he is sad that he couldn't be a part of the third instalment.

Sushant said that he would have loved to feature in Hate Story 3 if his character would have survived in the previous film.

"I do regret that I am not a part of Hate Story 3. I feel sad. My character dies in Hate Story 2. So, it cannot be reincarnated and brought back for the third part. Hopefully, by the fourth instalment I can return as a new character," Sushant told PTI.

Directed by Vishal Pandya, Hate Story 3 features Sharman Joshi, Karan Singh Grover, Zarine Khan and Daisy Shah.(Also Read: Why Karan Singh Grover's Dark Hate Story 3 Role Will be a 'Bonus')

"I wish good luck to the team. Hate Story is a big and successful franchise. So, comparisons will be made. But Vishal has directed it, and I don't think that one should worry. I hope that the film becomes a bigger hit, so that the makers decide to make a fourth part of the film, and then I can feature in it," added Sushant.

Hate Story 3 is scheduled to release on December 4.
