This Shah Rukh Khan Speech Winning The Internet Has A K3G Reference

New Delhi: Shah Rukh Khan's speech at a Hyderabad university has inspired everyone on the Internet. People on social media are quoting 'Dr Shah Rukh Khan' in their posts but did someone notice that one line of Shah Rukh's speech was inspired by his character Rahul's monologue to his younger brother in Karan Johar's Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham. It was just one line but we'd love to make a comparison here because in the same speech SRK said, "Life will be better if you look at things with a sense of humour." 15 years ago, Karan Johar wrote a dialogue in which his lead actor gives his brother some advice: "Duniya mein kuch bhi haasil karna ho to apne dil ki suno (Listen to your heart)." And then, on December 26, Shah Rukh received an honorary doctorate from Hyderabad-based Maulana Azad National Urdu University and in his acceptance speech said: "Jaisi bhi aapki soch hai hamesha wahi kare jo aapka dil kahe..." (listen to your heart)."

Shah Rukh Khan continued, like the Internet said, to give an inspiring speech to the young students who received their degrees along with SRK. He talked about the importance of education and the aforementioned follow your heart strategy and why it's so cool.

Shah Rukh narrated an incident from his childhood about his father, who, the actor said, was highly educated but poor. "On my birthday, my father would give me one of his old possessions as he never had the money to buy me a gift. He used to make it sound very fancy. The first gift he gave me was a battered chess set, saying it teaches important things in life - like sacrifice, humility and work in cooperation. Another gift he gave me was a typewriter which made me realise practice makes you perfect." Shah Rukh Khan's speech was interjected with his patented humour and was greeted with tumultuous applause.
