Highlights

  • Action film buffs have a lot to look forward to today as the hit-making team of Ajay Devgn and director Rohit Shetty roar all the way to the theatres with Singham Returns, the much-awaited sequel to the 2011 film Singham.
  • The plot reportedly revolves around honest and fearless cop, Bajirao Singham, played by Ajay Devgn - who is promoted from inspector to DCP in the sequel - and is pitted against a dodgy godman (played by Amole Gupte). Kareena Kapoor replaces actress Kajal Aggarwal as Kavya Bhosle, Bajirao's love interest.
  • The movie has also garnered a lot of interest for Yo Yo Honey Singh's foot-tapping number Aata majhi satakli featuring Ajay Devgn, Kareena Kapoor and Honey Singh with a group of children dressed in khaki in the background.
  • Also up for release today is the Hollywood movie The Giver based on a book of the same name. Directed by Phillip Noyce, the movie stars Brenton Thwaites, Jeff Bridges and Meryl Streep. The plot revolves around a teenager who learns about the true pain and pleasures of the "real" world from an elderly man after he is selected by his seemingly perfect community to become a Receiver of Memory. The Giver holds all the memories of his past.
