- Aiyyaa, directed by Sachin Kundalkar, revolves around a Marathi girl named Meenakshi Deshpande (Rani Mukherji). She is a huge Bollywood fan, who imitates screen divas like Madhuri Dixit, Sridevi and Juhi Chawla. While her parents look for a suitable boy, she escapes into an imaginary world in her daydreams. And much to her parents’ dismay, she falls in love with a Tamil artist Surya (Prithviraj), because he smells good. Aiyyaa marks the return of Rani after a year-long gap. The film also marks the Bollywood debut of southern superstar Prithviraj Sukumaran. The actor had to work hard to get the chiselled look that Rani so admires in the film.
- Next on the list is NASA scientist-turned-filmmaker Dr Bedabrata Pain's Chittagong, a period drama. The history lesson is based on the Chittagong uprising of 1930, where a handful of untrained teenage boys and girls, led by school teacher Surya Sen, waged a small war against the ruling British. The film is told from the point of view of 14-year-old Jhunku Roy, the youngest of the band of revolutionaries.
- Produced by Anurag Kashyap, the film features Manoj Bajpayee as Surya Sen, Nawazuddin Siddiqui as Nirmal Sen and Delzad Hiwale as the 14-year-old boy. The film is finally seeing the light of the day after a delay of four years.
- And for those who like horror movies, filmmaker Ram Gopal Varma brings you Bhoot Returns. The story revolves around 6-year-old Nimmi, played by child artist Alayana Sharma, who befriends an imaginary friend called ‘Shabbu’, with terrifying results.
- The film is the sequel to 2003's highly successful film Bhoot and is the comeback film for actress Manisha Koirala. Satya actor J D Chakravarthy co-stars.
