Highlights

  • Cinegoers can look forward to a double bonanza at the box office with Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster Returns and Sare Jahan Se Mehenga releasing today. While the former is a thriller drama, the latter is a satirical take on inflation.
  • First up is Tigmanshu Dhulia's sequel to the highly acclaimed Saheb Biwi Aur Gangster. The movie stars actors Jimmy and Mahie, who will be seen reprising their roles from the previous film. They will be joined by Irrfan and Soha Ali Khan in the cast.
  • Part 2 takes the story forward from where it was left in the original where Randeep Hooda's character is murdered, confining Jimmy Sheirgill to a wheelchair and letting Mahie Gill's character become powerful.
  • Tigmanshu Dhulia admitted that the movie has the right amount of sensuality, which he feels is important to the story. "There is sensuality, but in little measure. I feel that it is effective only like that. It (film) should have the right amount of sex and passion," he said in an interview to IANS.
  • The other movie up for release is Anshul Sharma's directorial debut Sare Jahan Se Mehenga. The movie starring Sanjay Mishra, Pragati, Vishwa Mohan Badola and Ranjan Chhabra, is a spoof on inflation, as seen from the eyes of a middle-class family living in a small city in north India.
  • The family tries to deal with rising prices through an ingenious idea which plunges them into a whole new set of problems altogether.
