New Delhi: Yet again, Twitter's resident agent provocateur Rishi Kapoor has issued a public appeal for a sense of humour. The 65-year-old actor has periodically had to ask his fellow netizens not take jokes seriously, like today:

The joke that others didn't find funny this time (perhaps because it wasn't) was one involving Alia Bhatt, Sonakshi Sinha and a fictional newspaper headline about 80 kilos of heroin. Comments about Mr Kapoor's tweet ranged from the relatively mild 'not funny sir' to more damning ones calling the actor names like 'moron.'

About a month ago, Rishi Kapoor quit Twitter for half a day after complaining about the lack of humour on the part of those reading his tweets.

Alia is Mr Kapoor's current co-star, with whom he is filming Kapoor and Sons in Coonoor. Some of the shoot was held in the same location that Rishi Kapoor's 1980 film Karz was shot in decades ago.

A week ago, Mr Kapoor shot with Sonakshi as well. The actress has a cameo role in All Is Well which stars Mr Kapoor and Abhishek Bachchan. As he points out in the tweet below, Sonakshi and Abhishek are the children of actors Shatrughan Sinha and Amitabh Bachchan who were Rishi Kapoor's co-stars in 1981 potboiler Naseeb.
