The 27-year-old actor said: "I am very choosy when it comes to picking up new projects. I don't wish to do films just for the sake of money. After Udaan, I was offered a few films, but I can't play sidekicks to big stars in films. I don't want to play supportive roles." Udaan, which was directed by Vikramaditya Motwane and co-produced by Sanjay Singh, Anurag Kashyap and Ronnie Screwvala, was Rajat Barmecha's debut film.

Rajat Barmecha told IANS: "I have always done films where I had full faith in the script and felt satisfied by it." He further added that he is open to work in any medium. Girl in the City will go on air from March 10.

Rajat Barmecha was nominated for a Screen Award for Most Promising Newcomer- Male for his role in Udaan.
