New Delhi:

Bollywood actor Hrithik Roshan is back with and in a Bang Bang.

The actor's action film is one of the most anticipated releases of Bollywood this year and, ever since the film's trailer was released, has gathered steam and even more interest.

The Siddharth Anand-directed remake of Tom Cruise hit Knight and Day also stars Katrina Kaif and promises an adrenaline rush with its high-octane action sequences and glitzy song-dance numbers. Here are 5 reasons why you should watch Bang Bang this weekend:

Hrithik Roshan, Return of the Native:

The first reason is pretty straightforward; it is a Hrithik Roshan film. Bang Bang has made maximum headlines due to the actor's work and action sequences in the film, delivered amid a punishing series of unfortunate events in his personal life. Hrithik had to undergo a brain surgery following an injury incurred while filming an action sequence, which was soon followed by his separation from wife Sussanne and, finally, his dropping out of Karan Johar's Shuddhi. Hrithik has admitted that the film is his 'biggest victory' and that it helped him overcome the "personal challenges" that he was going through in his life.

The Hrithik-Katrina Chemistry:

Hrithik Roshan's chemistry with actress Katrina Kaif was sweet in Zindagi Na Milegi Dobara but this time they are nothing short of nuclear on screen. The film's promos and the songs Tu Meri and Meherbaan have established that Hrithik and Katrina are going to set the screen on fire, come October 2.

The Stunts

Bang Bang is after all an action film. The film boasts of cutting edge action sequences and some of them are, in fact, first timers in Bollywood. Hrithik's flyboard stunt which required him to use a water jetpack to be propelled 45 feet up was a first in Bollywood and Hollywood. This was also the infamous stunt during which Hrithik injured himself. Hrithik recently said that he feels he is attracted to action-thrillers. Hrithik also revealed that he re-shot many stunts that were done with the help of his stunt doubles while he was recuperating from the brain surgery. And thus the countdown begins for Bang Bang.

Hrithik's Dance:

One can never have enough of Hrithik Roshan's dance moves, and Bang Bang promises to be a treat for all of Hrithik's fans. The actor's enviable moves in Tu Meri and the film's title track have made headlines. Besides, his MJ act in the song is definitely a must watch. Recently, the actor humbly said he is 'still trying to understand how he learned to dance so well'.

Hrithik's Quasi-Antihero Awesomeness:

The last time Hrithik played the role of a quasi-antihero in Dhoom 2, he won many hearts with his suave style. In this film Hrithik appears in an ambiguous role, it's unclear from the trailer whether he's a spy or genuinely on the wrong side of the law. And here again, the Hrithik charm is very much in evidence - just like in the Dhoom outing - and, may we add, it suits him a little too well.
