What Hrithik Roshan Learnt From Aamir Khan: Respond, Don't React

Aamir Khan found a strong supporter in Hrithik Roshan

Mumbai: Actor Hrithik Roshan has come out in support of his colleague Aamir Khan, praising the actor for his measured response to the criticism that he faced following his remarks on 'intolerance'. (Also Read: People Have Right to Speak up: Jackie Shroff on Aamir Khan's Comments)

The 50-year-old PK star, who faced the wrath of political parties and colleagues from the film industry, released a statement on Wednesday in which he said that he and his family did not have any intention of leaving the country and that he was a 'proud Indian'.

This came two days after he expressed his 'alarm and despondency' over the rise in recent incidents of intolerance, at an event in the capital.

  In his statement, Aamir had said:

"First let me state categorically that neither I, nor my wife Kiran, have any intention of leaving the country. We never did, and nor would we like to in the future.

I stand by everything that I have said in my interview. To all those people who are calling me anti-national, I would like to say that I am proud to be Indian, and I do not need anyone's permission nor endorsement for that".

Film personalities like Anupam Kher, Raveena Tandon, Ramgopal Varma, Paresh Rawal and Ashoke Pandit had criticised Aamir for his comments about 'intolerance'.
