- The movie revolves around the journey of five funny characters on a mission to find Mr Shah’s character’s childhood sweetheart. It deals with the idea of love and warped relationships. But the song is far removed from the plot, and is extremely peppy.
- Shake Your Bootiya, features Deepika Padukone observing a doll house where she finds five miniature dancers , wearing masks of the five actors, dancing away furiously to the song. Soon she is joined by the rest of the cast as they marvel at the scene, enjoy and react to the moves.
- While Mr Shah and Mr Kapur’s impressionists deliver some awesome moves making them proud, Arjun and Deepika are embarrassed by some of the Bootiya- shaking that goes on.
- Basically, it’s a quirky yet catchy song which sets the right tone for the movie’s future audience.
