Why Ranbir Kapoor is not an "unfaithful dog"

Why Ranbir Kapoor is not an 'unfaithful dog'

Ranbir said he wouldn't want his partner to be unfaithful to him

Highlights

  • They dated. They broke up. She slammed him on national TV. And then, suddenly, it seemed like there was no friendship more beautiful than Deepika Padukone and Ranbir Kapoor's. What's their secret, everyone asked. Could it really be that in the cruel world of Bollywood, it was not only possible for exes to do a film together but be besties as well?
  • That was then, this is now. With the blockbuster success of Yeh Jawani Hai Deewani - the film that reunited Deepika and Ranbir on screen this year - behind them, the cracks in the facade may finally be beginning to show. And, fittingly, the mise en scene featured the very couch on which Deepika told the world at large that her ex-boyfriend (no guesses who) had cheated on her just a couple of years ago.
  • On this season of Koffee With Karan, Ranbir begged to differ: "This perception of me being this unfaithful dog has been a bit too stretched. I think if you are in a relationship and if you're a good human being, you will be faithful because that's what you need to be in a relationship. Because you don't want your partner to be unfaithful to you. I think too much has been said because of my previous relationship. But I would like to believe that I'm a good guy and that I'm faithful."
  • It looks like Ranbir hasn't yet forgiven Deepika for that particular barb. In his rapid fire round, he was quick to reply "Deepika and Sonam" when asked who he'd pick to star in a remake of Hollywood hit film Mean Girls. Between them, Deepika and Sonam Kapoor had ripped Ranbir to shreds on that infamous episode of Koffee.
  • So that's the mystery of Ranbir and Deepika's much-discussed camaraderie somewhat solved. But what happens to Imtiaz Ali's new film, which reportedly stars the two exes again? Will they be fairweather friends for this film as well?
