Shah Rukh and Gauri joined a celebrity roll call of old and new co-stars of Mr Bachchan.
Yes, Shah Rukh Khan was at Amitabh Bachchan's party and there are photos to prove it.
There was only one place that everyone who is anyone in Bollywood wanted to be last night - at the grand party to usher in Amitabh Bachchan's 70th birthday. 800 odd guests walked a red carpet to a sit down dinner at Goregaon's Film City.
After some media reports said that superstar Shah Rukh Khan was missing from the mother of all dos, this photo of SRK and wife Gauri was released to prove they were there to wish India's favourite leading man. And Shah Rukh tweeted this morning: "Danced wıth Amıtji & Jaya aunty to all the songs i have grown up listenıng. Too much fun. Thanx abhishek, aishwarya &; Aaradhya for the warmth ."
Shah Rukh and Gauri joined a celebrity roll call of old and new co-stars of Mr Bachchan, including Rajinikanth, Dilip Kumar, Shashi, Rishi and Neetu Kapoor, Hema Malini and Sridevi.
For some years now, there have been rumours of a rivalry between Mr Bachchan and SRK, 23 years his junior. The rivalry allegedly began when Shah Rukh replaced Amitabh Bachchan as host on season three of game show Kaun Banega Crorepati, some say because Mr Bachchan's fee was too steep for producers. And even though Mr Bachchan resumed host duty from season four, and continues to host the show today, rumours of a feud lingered and uncomfortable questions were asked in interviews.
Mr Bachchan, who co-starred with SRK in films like Mohabbatein, Kabhi Khushi Kabhie Gham and Kabhi Alvida Na Kehna, once said in an interview that comparisons between him and the younger actor should be skipped till SRK turns 65.
