The American woman, who was allegedly raped by
Peepli Live movie director Mahmood Farooqui, has testified as a prosecution witness in the case, sources said on Thursday. (Also Read:

The 35-year-old woman reiterated the same points that she had made earlier while filing the first information report, court sources said.
Meanwhile, Mahmood Farooqui's defence counsel began his cross-examination of the woman after the prosecution concluded recording of testimonies during in-camera proceedings.
Additional Sessions Judge Sanjiv Jain listed the matter for Monday for further recording of the woman's statement.
The court framed rape charges on September 2 against Mahmood Farooqui, who is in judicial custody since June 20. He was chargesheeted in July.
The woman, who is pursuing PhD from Columbia University, was in India for research work.
