Los Angeles: Unlike other award ceremonyhosts, Hollywood actress Anne Hathaway won't be poking fun atcelebrities while she co-anchoring the Academy Awards becauseshe feels she hasn't "earned the right" to do so.

The 28-year-old actress is set to co-host the ceremonywith James Franco on Sunday but says she wouldn't feelcomfortable mocking the nominees and other guests, TheHollywood Reporter said.

"I can guarantee that if you're looking for someone tocall people out, we're not your hosts. I think that humour isreally difficult to pull off, and I'm not particularly adeptat it. I wouldn't feel comfortable doing it.

"Also, I don't mean to sound overly serious, but I amthe youngest host in history and I have no business beingcynical or calling anyone out. I certainly haven't earned theright to do that," said Hathaway.

The 'Devil Wears Prada' star also admitted she onlyaccepted the hosting role after Franco was on board because heeased some of her fears about presenting such a huge liveshow.

"James is so brave and so willing to makeunconventional choices. All the ways I was worried about itgoing wrong, it wouldn't go wrong in any of those ways. Itcould go wrong in entirely new ways."

The 83rd Academy Awards will take place at the KodakTheatre in Hollywood.
