Cannes 2016: Kristen Stewart's Personal Shopper Booed at Premiere

Cannes: Personal Shopper actress Kristen Stewart's latest collaboration with director Olivier Assayas was booed following a press screening at the ongoing Cannes Film Festival, reports Variety.

The film revolves around a ghost story that takes place in the fashion underworld of Paris. Kristen plays a personal shopper who communicates with spirits.

The film, however, was lauded by a few critics who later defended the film on Twitter.
 
 

Kriten and Olivier's last film, 2014's Clouds of Sils Maria, earned her rave reviews and a Cesar Award - making her the first American actress to win the French prize.

Gus Van Sant's The Sea of Trees, starring actor Matthew McConaughey, was also infamously booed last year following its Cannes debut.
