Dehradun: Bollywood themed unINDIAN is all set to wow the audience at the 69th Cannes Film Festival. This romantic-comedy movie has a big Doon connection. The movie is directed by Anupam Sharma, who is making his debut movie as a director. He is the son of a retired chief engineer from UP Irrigation and alumni of St. Joseph's Academy, Dehradun.

Elder brother Satish Sharma stated: "The fact that Anupam and Brett Lee will come to Uttarakhand for the movie's release sometime later this year, is a matter of great pride for us."

Bollywood-styled, cross-cultural Australian comedy stars former Australian fast bowler Brett Lee in the lead. Tannishtha Chatterjee, Supriya Pathak and Gulshan Grover also star in the movie. The film was shot over a period of 4-5 months in the beautiful locale of Australia.

The movie has been released in Australia and New Zealand but the Indian audience will get a glimpse of it later this year. Speaking to NDTV, the director shared: "It is a delight this independent cross cultural comedy is being screened as part of an Australian focus at Cannes Antipodes, particularly after successful screening at festivals in London and California."

unINDIAN will also be screened during St Tropez International Film Festival in October this year.
