Los Angeles: Actress Emma Stone who replaced Kirsten Dunst in the Spiderman reboot, had a tattoo designed by Beatles legend Paul McCartney to celebrate her mother's recovery from breast cancer.

The 21-year-old actress told David Letterman on The Late Show that McCartney designed the inking, which both she and her mother will get etched.

"I wrote a letter to Paul McCartney asking him if he would draw two little bird feet, because he wrote the song.

And yesterday, he sent them to me. We have never gotten tattoos before and probably never will again," the 'Easy A' star said while referring to the Beatles' hit number 'Blackbird' which was written by McCartney.

"My mom's favorite song is 'Blackbird,' and it's my favorite song as well. Two years ago tomorrow she got diagnosed with breast cancer, and she's out of the woods now, which is amazing," she said on the show last week.

Stone was thrilled by McCartney's response.

"Custom tattoos by Paul McCartney. Isn't that wild," she said.
