New Delhi: Hugh Jackman's putting on his Wolverine claws for the last time and he wants you to contribute your ideas for his last, title unknown, standalone Wolverine movie.

Wolverine 3, which will be the absolute last time the Australian actor reprises his role as the brooding X-Man, will release in 2017. The film is the third instalment in Logan/Wolverine's origin series. James Mangold, who directed the second film, returns to helm this.

Hugh, 46, has starred in every X-Men film made since the first one in 2000 and put out this image of himself as the clawed superhero on social media, asking fans for suggestions on what they wanted to see happen in the 2017 film.

This crowdsourcing of ideas notwithstanding, the third and final Wolverine film is expected to follow the Old Man Logan comic book story arc. A report in cosmicbooknews.com quoted Hugh as saying at Comic-Con this year, "I've got three words for you guys - Old Man Logan. Read into that what you will." In the original story, Wolverine is a broken old man who refuses to fight till he is forced by circumstances to accompany Hawkeye on a secret mission. In two separate film series that has made Hollywood a lot of money, Wolverine and Hawkeye belong to different superhero congregations - X-Men and Avengers. Both, however, belong to Marvel Entertainment.

If 2017 sounds remote, Hugh Jackman will be in next year's X-Men: Apocalypse as Logan/Wolverine as well.
