A photograph of her seated alone on a bench in front of the Taj Mahal made the front page of newspapers across the globe and was seen as emblematic of Diana's troubled marriage to Prince Charles. The same "Diana seat" on the central pool was repaired and the staircase was given a fresh coat of paint for Will and Kate.
Kate Middleton's other outfits in India and Bhutan included paisley-print Alexander McQueen, an Anita Dongre tunic, a Jenny Packham gown beaded in India, two dresses each by Emilia Wickstead and Alice Temperly, a TopShop dress that sold out instantly after she wore it and a skirt made of Bhutanese fabric.
