The 24-year-old actress reportedly wore the jewelrywhile visiting a shop, and cops have demanded a judge to givethem a search warrant.
A Los Angeles court is expected to issue a searchwarrant for cops to find the piece of jewelry in the star'sVenice Beach home.
"Lindsay is being accused of stealing high endjewelry, including a necklace. A search warrant was requestedTuesday at the Airport Court to search Lindsay's house for theitem of jewelry in question," said a source in lawenforcement.
"Lindsay has been photographed and there is video ofher wearing the jewelry she is accused of stealing," thesource added.
The
Mean Girls star's representative has notresponded to the accusation but an associate reportedlybrought the necklace to the Pacific Division police station.If found out that she stole the necklace, Lohan wouldbe charged with a felony.
