Actor Neil Patrick Harris, who married his long-time partner David Burtka recently, says they got married for the sake of their children - Harper and Gideon.
The How I Met Your Mother star shared reasons that prompted him to walk down the aisle on the talk show The View reports contactmusic.com.
"I think when our kids got to the age when they were having reasonable conversations where they're asking lots of questions, then it seemed (important) to be able to have a real clear-cut (identity) of who their daddy is. That he's my husband. It was easier than partner or boyfriend," he said.
The 41-year-old actor got married to the celebrity chef in Italy on September 6. (Also Read: More about the wedding)
