Fifty Shades of Grey series gets darker and hotter in the recently released trailer of the sequel,
Fifty Shades Darker, and its already set a new record with more than 114 million views in its first 24 hours.
According to Universal Pictures, the first official trailer for the sequel to the highly successful movie of 2015, was viewed 114 million times in the first 24 hours of its release online, reports People magazine.
The James Foley directed film was seen more than 2.5 million times on its official Facebook page alone.
The trailer was also made available across multiple other platforms such as YouTube and Instagram.
If reports are to be believed, the trailer is now the most viewed trailer on the first day of release of all time, as it broke the
Star Wars' record of 112 million.
Starring Dakota Johnson
and Jamie Dornan, the sequel to the hit series introduces new characters such as the mysterious sexual mentor played by 62-year-old former fashion model and actress, Kim Basinger.
Fifty Shades Darker comes to theatres on February 10, 2017.
