Lately, it seems like celebrities have no idea what's appropriate to wear to the park, a wedding or to a game of tennis.

Lately, it seems like celebrities have no idea what's appropriate to wear to the park, a wedding or to a game of tennis.
Mariah Carey has a closet full of couture and no place to wear any of it to. She showed up at a New York playground with her two adorable children on June 2 in an Azzedine Alaia belted ballgown topped by a black shrug and finished with fingerless gloves.
Here's Mariah being all fabulous and high fashion at the swings with three-year-old twins Moroccan and Monroe:

On May 29, Mariah was spotted being what she considers an Elusive Chanteuse, riding the New York subway in glittering blue cleavage-baring Versace and sunglasses.

Perhaps this is what she meant by The Emancipation Of Mimi - she's freed herself from having to look like ordinary folks because, you know, she isn't one.
On May 31, tennis star Serena Williams ruined this couple's wedding photos by crashing the nuptials in a leopard-printed swimsuit. In her defence, the wedding was on Miami beach and Serena would have looked mighty odd if she'd been at the beach in anything but a swimsuit. Even so, despite the wide grins on the faces of the bride and groom, we suspect that this picture won't be making it into the wedding album.

A whole continent away, Prince was in Paris for a surprise concert and arrived to watch the French Open in afro, turtle neck and silver cane.
