Renee Zellweger has given her
consent to reprise the role of the hapless Bridget in the
third installment of the rom-com series but says she will not
put on weight to portray the character.
The 42-year-old actress, who received an Oscar nomination
for her role in the Bridget series, is hesitant to add extra
pounds because she is worried about the after effects,
reported Daily Mail.
"I had a panic attack with all the specialists talking
about how bad this is for you long-term, putting on that much
weight in short periods of time," she said.
Insiders say Zellweger is considering wearing a "fat
suit" for the upcoming film.
Although it has not been confirmed that Hugh Grant and
Colin Firth will return, Oscar winner Firth has revealed some
plot earlier.
"I can tell you that Bridget and Mark can't have
children, I think that's the way it goes on. So then she makes
the huge mistake of going back to Daniel Cleaver (played by
Hugh Grant) for long enough to get pregnant. And I think he
dumps her, and she's left stranded, and guess who comes back
to rescue her?" he said.
