First of all, I'm sorry to be the messenger of bad news, but I must share this sorrow with someone.

The most anticipated movie of the year 2009 Kambakkht Ishq, is quite definitely the biggest dud of the year so far.

Considering the fact that it stars Akshay Kumar, each scene in the movie has humungous sets and top-notch action scenes.

Akshay plays a playboy-stuntman, who has a knack of impressing women very easily. Even Hollywood actress Denise Richards pecks his lip for a nano-second in the movie and mentions to tabloids that he's a great kisser.

Kareena Kapoor is a super-model by night and a medical surgeon by day. She hates Akshay for reasons you may neither understand nor even care to. The first half manages to scroll through with songs and dances.

But then a bigger twist awaits you in the later half. The supermodel-surgeon operates on the playboy-stuntman and leaves a watch with a recurring alarm bell inside his body.

Every few minutes, the alarm bell keeps ringing. She is scared that he will sue her and tries to seduce him.

Even after reading this, you by any chance go and watch the movie, you'll realise that the film is infinitely more ridiculous.

All you're left with, besides crash-sequences and Akshay Kumar with a bunch of bikini-clad women, is Kareena Kapoor in designer outfits.

Now we know why Bollywood is going through an economic slowdown. Really, I dare you to watch it.

I watched Kambakkht Ishq, and quite frankly in these depressing(recession) times this was just what the doctor ordered. We all needed the laughs provided in the movie. Well done 5/5 rating from me

well i have stopped watching akshay kumars movies. this dude balantly says that he will only do sense less movies(and expects us to watch them ). actually we people are at fault for these producers making more and more senseless films, as we are the one who made the dhoom 2 the biggest blockbuster of that year even though it had some (most) utterly idiotic sequences ...

I think the reviewer gone made, thats why they spoke negative about the movie. i have seen the movie and it was really a superb movie to watch so don't make ur decision by any reviewer just go and watch the movie. The movie going to the biggest hit of 2009.

KI is an absolute entertainer.. I totally agree that one cannot look for value for money when it comes to entertainment. Akshay Kumar is at his best in this movie and is able to carry the movie along very well. Kareena is looking so hot in this movie with Amrita Arora.. Excellent daring stunts by Akshay and Sly (Sylvester Stallone) adds value to the movie.. To have US Rambo & Indian Rambo in the same movie, was an excellent delight.. Kirron Kher was as usual at her best and adds spice to the movie as Dolly Aunty..

in simple words PIECE OF CRAP. Sometimes I wonder if actors/directors/producers can actually watch/judge a movie like a common being. I mean, if they do can they not deduce while making of the movie that what a pie-full-of-SHIT they are baking. I mean, how in this world could someone use time/money/mind to generate rubbish like this. Do not watch this, you will hate yourself for rest of your life !!

Akshay looks haggard...who on earth can make such a TRASH? vulgarity rules.... No storyline,nothing..the first 15 minutes of the movie,and you feel like walking out.. TERRIBLE.....and look how akshay and kareena ar trying to show case and promote this ... SHAME ON YOU FOLKS

I am a die hard Kareena Kapoor Fan . Apart from her skin show and occasional laughs from Akshay, the movie is a dud. Its time well wasted over 2.5 hrs. Please avoid.

HI all, I am neither a great fan of self declared action/comedy king akshay nor of skinny kareena , just went to watch this movie after my friends forced me to go with them. This is the worst movie i have ever seen in my life , though this is the copy of a tamil movie : kamal k samndham neither it has the charm nor the innocense of its original movie. At the end what you get is a handfull of vulgar jokes & illogical & mindless scenes. Please dont watch this movie. If you really want to watch this , buy a pirated CD or send your enemy to watch & see if they come back alive.

well fr this time around d critics got it all wrong...the movie is a light entertainer...ofcourse Javed,Boman,Kiron's role have been wasted but then again tell me any recent movie which had a meaning or a message.Films these days are pure mad-cap fun types and d sooner the critics realise it d better fr everyone.My advice movie is good go watch it and enjoy the acting.and for critics the answer would come in form of the overall collections at the box office

Even by Akshay Kumar standards,an absolute DUD. How on earth do you recover from 3 hours of sheeer boredom and numbness? After even loving the redoubtable singh is king and okaying the slapstick CC TO C,i find nothing,absolutely nothing to recommend this dumb charade calling itself a movie.There is a limit to how mindless a mindless comedy can be and most importantly it still needs some COMEDY.Sorely lacking in this movie. If you want to see Akshay strut around,Kareena simper,feeble attmpts at humor,dialogue with loads of ammo for feminists galore and of course the essential "indian values" of boy not touching nice girl though she throws herself at him-because-he-loves-her-wants to -be-honourable etc. And why oh why is Aftab getting so wasted and exploited?

Critics write the review of the movie to give their opinion on the movie, to tell the GOOD's and thr BAD's of the movie...not to persuade audience to watch or not to watch it This sold-off reviewer, has clearly shown his intentions of killing the movie, by not saying much about the movie, but every word of this so called review says "DON"T WATCH THE MOVIE OR I WILL NOT GET THE MONEY FROM SRK".. When akshay said that few people are jealous of him..i didn't agree, but after reading this review it is damn right.,....it is a well planned strategy Movie is not that bad...yes it is predictable at times, a bit boring, a bit cheezy...but which bollywood movie is not???? These websites should stop hiring these corrupt critics to sell of their sites....maintain some dignity...Indians are not fools

I watched this Movie in a cinema on the east coast and found almost all audience delighted at exit. Dont understand what Mayank's point is? Akshay plays the role of a semi literate, rustic stuntman and he bahaves as such, show offish, loud and rustic, speaks broken english. Kareena plays a sophisticated role and acts such, appears chick and speaks fluently. I found the film pretty entertaining. Even the second half with well executed emotional scenes hits the right buttons. All the Songs are blockbusters and videos are excellent. If we ignore the unnecessary track of Javed Jafri, the movie has all the ingradient of being the blockbuster of the year.

This is the worst movie I have ever seen, except for the Universal studio shoots there is nothing in the movie, the language used is totally unacceptable, Kareena and Akshay both looked horrible and haggered, where is that "expensive dress" Kareena was supposed to wear? and the Comedy. Total disappointment, waste of money and time, for both the producers and movie goer's.

The movie as anticipated is a fun loving and has lived upto the expectation. It is not understood why critics are so harsh with Akshay Kumar, he is the only hero in bolywood who has given the khans run for their money. As far as the personality is concerned the khans are no where near him. It is sheer jealousy that the khans are after Akshay and leave no opportunity to show that Akki is dum actor. The critics are backed by khans and that is the reason they have rated the movie badly. I recommend everyone to go and watch the movie as it is a fun loving movie. Go Guys Go.

I have seen the movie and its one of the worst movies ever to be made in the history of Indian cinema.I regret spending my money on such a third class movie.First of all there is no story and secondly the dialogs and the situations are so vulgar that its unable to spend three hours in the cinema theater.Akshay Kumar is becoming repetitive and if he repeats the same type of comedy he will surely lose his audience.Please avoid this movie.

They could have spent 60 crores more sensibly as well....in past Akshay has given good hits but he is repeating himeslf and is becoming like what Nana Patekar was to maniacal roles....i am not sure if they are watching this movie at the editing table or post editing. Some of the songs are of no use and breaks what ever little tempo the movie builds. What is more amazing that both Akshay and Kareena seems to be intelligent actors and I am not sure how do they agree to such roles... A message for both if think you have lost the touch or not getting good roles it is better to take a break then to give flop movies..

Kambakkht Ishq (KI) was the most awaited film this year and true to its hype Sajid Nadiadwala’s Hollywood-meets-Bollywood larger than life extravaganza shattered all records. The opening it received was bigger than that of Ghajini, Singh Is Kinng and Welcome. Sajid has hit the jackpot with this one yet again proving himself to be among Bollywood’s most successful producers. I don't go with this review. According to me even after all this fooliness shown in the movie, It was quite comic and "Paisa waasul" movie. I access there were many things in the movie which were unacceptable practically, but after all what else can u expect from a Hindi Movie?? I'll say its oncetime watch movie. Second time if you see, you will surely die.

Kambakkht Ishq has had a great opening across the country this morning on a big release of over 1000 cinemas. The opening was extraordinary in the North with Aanam in Amritsar and Phul in Patiala going over capacity in the first shows. Multiplexes in Delhi/NCR were also super strong. The rest of the country was also excellent though not as strong as North. The weekend looks set to be huge and possibly the second biggest ever. Kambakkht Ishq has been released on around 110 cinemas in Mumbai/Thane, 38 cinemas in Delhi city with total going to 70 in Delhi/NCR. East Punjab sees a 62 cinemas release and the film is showing on 29 cinemas in Hyderabad.

Seems to be a poor bolloywood rip of Kamal Hassan's super hit comdey "Pammal K Sambandham". In trying to be orginal they have changed the hero character 180 from a staunch Hanuman Bhakt to play boy and to add usual bolloywood glam quotient and skin show , we have a super-model by night and a medical surgeon by day!

Most definitely this is gonna be the biggest hit of 2009. Akshay in what he does best, comedy and action and Kareena, in looking good and acting like royalty. Stallone gives some more spark to the already shinning fare. All an all, just smashing.I Was in a really really bad mood, had a fight with my boyfriend (well he refuses to watch bollywood cinema) and I desperately wanted to see Kambhakt Ishq. Anyway, I went with my friends, after a fight with him, but once in, I definitely forgot our nasty fight. I didn’t laugh this much even in Garam MasalaOk, Kambhakt Ishq, great film what was amazing for me the brilliant cameo by Stallone. I want stallone to now shift base to bollywood.
