In a last ditch effort to woo the influential Indian American community, Barack Obama, the frontrunner Democratic presidential candidate, has sought the help of popular Bollywood songs - a practice widely used in Indian politics and elections - to reach them out.

A video 'Barack Obollywood' has been posted on the popular YouTube website targeting specially the large Indian Americans community, a majority of who so far are seen to be supporting his main rival in the Democratic Party, Hillary Clinton.

Clinton who is the former first lady and New York Senator.

"Aaja Aaja Aaja Aaja Aaja, Chori chori ham dono pyaar karenge, and Maahiya, Maahiya, jaldi se le jaa Maahiya Maahiya Maahiya doli mein le ja sun mahiya, are the two popular Bollywood songs that has been used in this video.

The video begins with Obama as saying: "There is no liberal America or Conservative America. There is only the United States of America."

Thereafter, this video of more than 120 seconds has used clippings from various Bollywood movies with Obama in the background - speaking, addressing, jogging and even dancing like a Bollywood star.

At one point of time, Obama even appears to be singing -his lip synching with the songs -- and is seen surrounded by dancing girls with Obama standing in a pose against the backdrop of the Capitol Hill.

Of course it is all the tricks of the technology. Obama did no special shooting for this video, which was posted on the website by Campaign2008 about a week ago.

Since then it has attracted more than 36,000 hits - and is fast climbing up the ladder of among most popular Obama videos on the YouTube.

As the video starts playing the number Maahiya Maahiya , Obama emerges gradually from the galaxy of stars and slowly opens his mouth, inside which Bollywood dancers are seen singing this song Jaldi se Le Jaa Sun Maahiya.

The Indian tri-color is also seen flying. The video ends with the dancing images in the backdrop of the Taj Mahal.

Now over a week old on the World Wide Web, the video has attracted some interesting comments from the netizens.

Links to this video has appeared on several websites. "This is absolutely the greatest campaign commercial ever! Go Obama '08!" wrote one Megahan on YouTube, while another visitor recommends this video to be played on a giant screen at the inaugural ball.

"Fantastic lip synching! It really looks like he's singing in Hindi," writes another viewer.

"Okay, Obama. You got my vote along with Dennis, John, Chris and Ron Paul! The girls in his mouth thing was enough right there," wrote one of the viewers on wonkette.com.
