It was a spiritual day for many prominent faces amongst the celebrity brigade in Mumbai. Breaking away from the clutter of filmy parties and Bollywood events a host of stars took part in the music-meditation programme by the Art of Living.
The stars advocated the need for a stress-free and violence-free society.
"I think in this day and age, everybody needs a messiah. When my kids leave home for school frankly speaking I am tensed till they are back and a guru helps," said Raveena Tandon, actress.
They come from an industry where stress rules as much as stardom but it was interesting to see many of them from departing wisdom to over as lakh people on how to lead a stress-free life.
"I am here for a purpose and I think in this age we need more such organisations who coming forward and make people aware of the importance of spirituality in our lives," said Govinda, actor and MP.
The stars, who indulged in deep meditation and enjoyed the melodious satsang sessions with Sri Sri Ravishankar, agreed that it was a complete contrast from their usual clubbing weekends.
"I don't even think I can compare the two, this is so beautiful an experience," said Kunal Kapoor, actor.
"If I get a chance like this to make a difference as a celebrity, I think I'm very lucky," said Dia Mirza, actress.
It was not just Bollywood, even other popular faces were there to accept the perks of a spiritual bent in their lives especially when controversies refuse to give way.
"It is because of this that I have been able to deal with the recent stressful time I have been through," said Leander Peas, tennis star.
After all it is not always we get to see glamorous faces dance to the tunes of Hare Rama, Hare Krishna.
