Oscar-winner Titanic has been voted the greatest hit of all time in a poll of 6,000 movie fans.

Thesun.co.uk reported that the movie, that grossed a record 500 million pounds, beat out the 2005 remake of King Kong. Directed by James Cameron, Titanic stars Leonardo DiCaprio and Kate Winslet.

Lord of the Rings: Fellowship of the Ring came in third followed by Star Wars: Return of the Jedi. The top 10 list also includes Jurassic Park, Independence Day, Transformers", "Gladiator and Raiders of the Lost Ark.
