Tom Cruise has yet again signed for one of the most popular series and the biggest grosser in Hollywood film history.
The Hollywood hunk will be seen again in the lead for sequel 4 of Mission Impossible.
The original in 1996 with Cruise playing super agent Ethan Hunt had grossed $467million at the box office worldwide.
Four years later, Mission: Impossible II hauled in $545 million at the global box office. Mission: Impossible III in 2006 managed an impressive $395 million haul.
He's said to have made peace with Sumner Redstone, the CEO of Viacom, after falling out with him when Redstone decided to drop Cruise's production company United Artists Studio from Paramount Pictures.
The fourth sequel is likely to be made with Paramount Pictures. Cruise can next be seen in comedy Tropic Thunder alongside Robert Downey Jr and Owen Wilson, and the controversial war drama Valkyrie.
Tom, who is married to former Dawson's Creek star Katie Holmes, has also been in the news for an old time romance with singer Cher.
