Special: All about Michael JacksonPics: History of Michael Jackson's facePop icon Michael Jackson's long time dermatologist Arnold Klein is under investigation over the singer's death.
Assistant Chief Coroner Ed Winter Klein's visited Klein's office after a previous request for all of Jackson's medical records was allegedly ignored, Sun online reported.
The move also came as the dermatologist told how he was "rebuilding" the star's face before his London concerts.
The police will probe the dermatologist's prescription practices with regard to the vast amount of drugs Jackson was taking. They will investigate whether medication was given to aliases.
Klein had admitted that "occasionally" he gave sedative Demerol to the 'King of Pop', but said, "That was the strongest medication I ever used."
"I'm here to talk to him. The investigation is still on-going," Winter said after arriving at Klein's office on Tuesday.
After an hour of interrogation Winter revealed he had been promised all Jackson's medical files within 24 hours. He told that he first contacted Klein's office on July 2.
The dermatologist's lawyer sent some records and promised the rest at a later date. But they never arrived.
When further calls to Klein's representatives were not returned, police decided to meet him face-to-face.
Winter added that some of the toxicology and brain autopsy results, which determine what substances the singer had in his body when he died, are in and the remaining results are expected soon.
Following the pop legend's death on June 25, speculation has been rife over what caused his cardiac arrest, with reports suggesting he had a prolonged addiction to prescription painkillers.
Klein has earlier denied supplying the singer with powerful medical drugs.
Meanwhile, the report also stated that Klein was a close associate of Dr Michael Gottlieb - one of three physicians reprimanded for over-subscribing addictive drugs to acting legend Elizabeth Taylor.
