A Delhi housewife who is trampled upon daily by her cold, unfaithful husband conjures up a fantasy man who helps her regain her lost self- esteem and fulfill her dreams.  Who does she come up with?  Not Brad Pitt or Daniel Craig or Shah Rukh Khan or Hrithik Roshan. 

In debutant director Madhureeta Anand’s Mere Khwabon Mein Jo Aaye, the best she can do is Randeep Hooda wearing a white feather boa.

And this isn’t his most ridiculous outfit: he also appears as an overtly bronzed, flute-playing Krishna and a rock star in leather.

Somewhere in this painfully predictable film is an interesting concept of a meek woman reclaiming her life but that is lost in the maze of  poor acting, unmelodious music and some unintentionally funny scenes. 

The actors don’t do much to shore up the weak script – even the usually alluring Raima Sen is absolutely vapid. Arbaaz Khan as the husband is his usual stone self.  Randeep tries hard to exude charm but his outfits get the better of him.  Mere Khawbon Mein Jo Aaye is total tedium.  I recommend that you steer clear.
