Veteran filmmaker Shyam Benegal today said nudity being shown on the small screen worries him more than vulgarity in films.

"Vulgarity and obscenity in films are being taken care of by the censor board and such films are banned for children, but there is no check on such films and programmes on television," he told reporters here.

Benegal, here in connection with a seminar organized by Indian Institute of Advanced Study, suggested that parents should be vigilant in this regard so that their children are not able to watch such programmes.
