The most popular actress in Bhojpuri film industry, Rani Chatterjee, was literally kidnapped while shooting for film Love ke Tonic Piyal Kara. The actress, who is famous for several hit films including Sasura Bada Paisawala and Munnibai Nautankiwali, was in Ghazipur for shooting of the film.

The problem started when producer demanded one of the songs to be picturised on a different actress. Rani and Sujit Puri (director) refused to do so, as it was supposed to be picturised on Rani, as per the film's script.

This angered the producer and forced both the actors to stay in hotel without any food.

"It was perhaps the worst day of my life. There was no food, not even tea, and several armed people were there to make sure, we could not escape. I felt as if I was kidnapped," explains Rani, with tears in her eyes.

Finding herself in trouble, Rani immediately telephoned actor Manoj Tiwari for help. Shocked by the incident, Manoj used his contacts to rescue Rani and Sujit from the producer's arrest.

Director Sujit Puri is still pretty disturbed - "In such a hot weather, we were co-operating with the producer, and we completed four songs as well. But, he was trying to force us to change the story, which was not acceptable. And, when we refused, we were almost kidnapped by him."

"The producer was claiming support of some local Criminal, and threatened us to get ready for the worst. Our cloths are other luggage is still in the Hotel room, as we decided to leave immediately," Sujit added.

On the other hand, producer of the movie, Capt Ravi Kumar says that Rani left the movie, as she was not comfortable with the hot weather, and frequent power-cuts in Hotel room. He also claimed that the shooting is still on, and he did not kidnapped or force anyone.

Rani and Sujit have decided to to file a written complaint against producer in various associations.
