Courtney Love sued over borrowed jewellery

London: Rock singer Courtney Love hasbeen sued by celebrity jewellery firm Jacob & Co for notreturning nearly $114,000 worth of borrowed gems.

A lawsuit filed against the Hole star alleged thatshe borrowed two white gold and diamond chains, a white gold,floral-designed mesh bracelet coupled with a pair of whitegold and diamond hoop earrings but only returned the bracelet,Contactmusic reported.

The firm which is popular with many celebritiesincluding David Beckham, Justin Timberlake and Madonna claimedthat Love told them that she had lost the other valuables.

"Love has failed to return the chains and theearrings, despite repeated demand and her detention andretention of the jewels are wrong," the suit says.

Meanwhile, the firm's agreement with the 46-year-oldrocker specified that she would be responsible for the gems"regardless of loss or damage".

Love also got embroiled in a legal battle withmanagement company London and Co two years ago, when they suedher for $1 million as she failed to share her earnings fromselling a portion of her music rights, which netted her anestimated $20 million.
