New Delhi:
The plot thickens in rapper Honey Singh's mysterious disappearance from public life. Punjabi singer Jasbir Jassi has now denied that he visited his fellow musician in rehab, as reported by
Hindustan Times. Jassi, as the singer is called, wrote in a Facebook post that he had not met the
Chaar Botal Vodka singer in rehab and that apart from objecting to certain lyrics in Honey Singh's songs, he nothing against him. Several of the
Party All Night musician's songs have been accused of being misogynistic and glorifying rape and drugs.
Hindustan Times reports that Jassi said that some months ago he met Honey Singh in a Chandigarh rehab, ostensibly there for addiction to steroids. The report also quotes him as saying he was told Honey Singh was recovering well by the singer's manager.
Towards the end of 2014, Honey Singh suddenly and inexplicably went missing from his professional commitments. In November, he was replaced as judge on his talent show
India's Raw Star by Himesh Reshammiya. At the beginning of 2015, he reappeared, announcing his return in a Facebook post in which he was pictured with a group of underprivileged children.
Since then, he has made a musical comeback with
Birthday Bash. No explanation has been provided for his absence but rumour attributes it to rehab for drugs after a speculated falling out with actor Shah Rukh Khan, for whose
Chennai Express he created
Lungi Dance. (Also Read:
