A new song, titled
Jaane Tere Sheher, from upcoming film
Jazbaa provides the backstory for actor Irrfan Khan's character, Inspector Yohan. "How can you live in this mess?," asks Anuradha, the lawyer played by Aishwarya Rai Bachchan, as she sits in his home. "I don't live here. I'm just waiting," he replies.
Through most of the film's trailer and previously released songs, Irrfan has been grim and taciturn. This song explains why - the reason is (of course, this is Bollywood) Aishwarya, though we can't tell yet if his love is unrequited.
Unrequited or not, Irrfan spends a lot of his time now drinking in seedy bars.
Jazbaa, directed by Sanjay Gupta, will hit screens on October 9.
