Rapper Kanye West, who topped music charts with his latest album
The Life of Pablo, on Tuesday announced a major North American tour, which will begin in August.
'The Saint Pablo Tour' will hit nearly 40 cities across the United States and Canada, including New York, Los Angeles, Toronto, Chicago, Montreal, Detroit, Washington and Miami, according to Live Nation, which is promoting the event.
Kanye made history earlier this year when
The Life of Pablo became the first album to debut at the top of the Billboard 200 album chart based exclusively on streaming -- the seventh number one album for the enigmatic music star.
Kanye, who is married to reality television star Kim Kardashian, continues to pursue a side career in fashion designing, in addition to his announced plans to run for president in 2020.
He also said earlier
this year that he was $53 million in debt and asked his legions of fans to subscribe to Tidal because he needed money to bring his "beautiful ideas to the world."
